The lines were full all day saturday.  They said they over booked one line with 108 shooters.  20 targets with the longest being a moose at 69.5 yards.  The targets were marked yardages without a red dot.  I liked this setup.  240 points possible.  I shot a 224.  Shot wide on the moose and got an 8.  Just missed a couple of 12's.  I felt like I should have gotten a 230, but all in all, I think I did okay.  We drove down friday night and stayed until sunday morning.  I went over at 8 am to book a shoot at 11 and 3 but they were all filled up until 5 pm.  So we came back at 4:30 but didn't get on the line until 7.  A lot of the shooters had 3 and 4 stamps on their hand.  A few even had 5.  So, there weren't a lot of different shooters, just a lot of the same shooters all weekend.  Cost was $10 per round.  As usual, the scenery was outstanding.  Lots of pine trees and dirt mounds.  As far as I am concerned, nobody does a better job of decorating than the Vernal group.  One of the unique shots was an aligator sitting in  water.  You had to shoot from an elevated mound of dirt thru a hollow log.  It was 10 yards.  I don't know how many arrows ended up in the log.

The first pic there is a shed in the left corner.  they put a Black Boar inside there.  It put the worst shadow on the target, you'd spend what felt like forever with your binos trying to find it.  as soon as you think you found it and put them down, you'd loose it.  That shot tanked alot of people.  (me included, 8,5  Cry)

i see that the cost to shoot is only $10. what about shooting for money ?
what were the entry fees and how good is the prize money? does this shoot draw a lot of money shooters?  do they have a raffle or door prizes?

When we showed up, we were extremely lucky and after we got signed up and paid for the next flight was starting.  They were calling our names to shoot before I had my bow out of my bag.
