Horses or 4 Wheelers?

What do you prefer, horses of 4 wheelers? And why?
Do you hunt where 4 wheelers aren't allowed?
I prefer hunting with horses where 4 wheelers aren't allowed. I like the peace ad quiet, and usually there's not a lot of people around. Plus I can take a horse a lot of places that a 4 wheeler can't go.

Never had the opportunity to hunt on horses. Wish I had. I know of a few places that could produce some good animals but it would kill you to get them out.
I do hunt from wheelers quite a bit.

I have been on horses when rifle hunting and bow hunting. You can cover a lot of ground, the horse will see the deer before you do, you get really saddle sore and look forward to the end of the day, and after doing it, I would not do it again. The worst was a 10 day elk hunt. We sent the horses home with one of the guys who went home early. They have to be fed and watered first thing in the morning,... prime hunting time. You have to have certified hay to take into most areas so you don't spread weeds. In wilderness areas, you have to carry a poop bag and cleanup behind them. If you want to hunt on foot, you tie up the horse and then have to return to retrive the horse. Believe me, it sounds romantic, but having done it... not again.... unless I went with an outfitter and he took care of them.
I have a couple of ATV's and much prefer them.
